About this Website

How to use this website?

Using Omeka, a publishing platform developed by archivists, historians, and computer scientists, we have created a few different mechanisms to explore the history of Florida State University and race relations in Tallahassee.

First, we created exhibits that narrate the past. We also have an exhibit to familiarize visitors with the historian's craft.

Second, we also provide visitors to the site the ability to investigate the raw materials of history independently. You can either search materials by using our collections, organized by common questions, or by browsing the over 1200 various items of the past that we have added to this database. Lastly, there are links to additional resources for those who wish to continue their investigations.
