Al Breitler lived at Kellum. He had applied to attend FAMU in the Fall. The start of the article describes the cross as five feet tall. Students called "Arthur Murphy" who was the head counselor of Kellum but lived two blocks away. He did not inspect the site until the morning. At that point William Tanner, the University security officer, did not find a cross. However he did find a "no parking sign" that was opposite Breitler's window "smoked up"
