"Notice. Will be sold at public sale for cash in the town of Monticello on the (?) of January next in the usual hours of sale a likely young negro fellow of good quality and fair character for the benefit of the heirs and creditors of the estate of Thomas Wood, late of Jefferson county deceased. All persons having claims against said estate are hereby requested to present them to me duly (?) on or before the day of sale. – Benjamin Manning, Executor. Nov. 9, 1836."
